Ben Willmore has been pushing Photoshop to its limits for over 30 years. In this session, he’ll take a look at the features you need to use every day (layers, selections/masks and retouching) and share the tips and tricks he thinks will increase your productivity and improve the quality of your results. In this session, you’ll learn:
• See how professionals isolate furry, fuzzy and hairy objects from their backgrounds.
• Scan your signature and then precisely remove the background in seconds.
• Remove the background on complex trees.
• Develop an overall mindset for using the Clone Stamp, Spot Healing and Healing Brush so you know which tool will be most effective on various retouching tasks.
• How to retouch in perspective so you can utilize areas that are closer or farther from the camera than the area you are attempting to retouch.
• Learn how to scale, rotate and flip what the Clone Stamp and Healing Brush are copying to make them more versatile.
• Quickly transplant clouds between documents.
• Separate the find detail and texture from the overall tone and color of your image, so you can manipulate each separately.
• Develop a mindset for how to structure and organize layers for the most versatility.
• Incorporate Smart Object layers to that transformations, filters and other changes do not permanently change your original image.
