WEDNESDAY: PHOTOGRAPHERS TALK PHOTOGRAPHY

THURSDAY: THE PERSON BEHIND THE CAMERA IS RELEVANT

Engaged photographers published under the Minor Matters imprint will discuss their work, and how who they are and how they see continues to expand the cultural landscape of American society.

Please join us Thursday, April 29 for a candid discussion with photographers and authors on why the person behind the camera has always been relevant, and remains so today.

Growing awareness of the many systems of prejudice and injustice still facing underrepresented populations in has stimulated a desire for change in our field, but has also created discomfort, and a fear of being “left out” as new voices are prioritized. Hear from three photographers about their own career trajectories and their perspectives on the social changes taking place today, along with their publisher, who co-founded and has guided a book list of lesser-seen viewpoints from an inclusive perspective.
